2 Years In Prison - A Man's Story

Found this interesting study. It&#;s a man&#;s story about his experience in prison. I honestly thought this was absolutely amazing because I had no idea what prison was actually like. It sounds horrible and I for one would never ever want to be there.

I really liked the guy&#;s style of writing, which makes this read even more enjoyable.
Anyways I enjoyed this very much. Desire you guys too!

Quoting the Threadstarter

This guy gets 2 years for Armed Robbery , he makes a post before going into jail (nothing special) then a make a long thread after getting out. It&#;s pinned on an imageboard I frequent, this is his story;

also notice that sister= girlfriend due to word filters on the imageboard and that he does utilize offensive language etc, so i guess read with a plump skin

So I just got out of prison
and fuck it if I&#;ve forgotten how to work a mouse and slap the submit button too soon.

Shit [sic] has changed. So many boards now. I don&#;t know what the fuck is going on. Where do I start? Two years inside and it&#;s like the whole world ha

I’ve always been gay, but I’ve never been overtly effeminate. Coming from a family of several positive male role models, I never had to hide who I was, so I never did.

Like everyone, I had heard the stories about men being “turned out” in prison. As I was being booked into Orleans Parish Prison in November of , I realized I was a target.

During the processing I was placed in a holding cell with nearly fifty other prisoners.

I was terrified going into the cell. So I found a quiet spot on the floor in the corner. I sat with my knees in and my arms folded with my head down, so I’m not sure how they knew I was gay. Still, a guy sat next to me and put his arm around me. I attempted to spring up but another man stood over me and forcefully pushed me back down by my shoulders.

“You ain’t fighting back, is you, sweetness?” he said. I looked at him in horror as tears welled up in my eyes. The man who was standing exposed himself while the other aggressively forced me to give his friend oral sex. Out of fear, I performed oral sex on them both. Even with several peopl

Three years ago, the young noun who would later be known as John Doe 1 shuffled into the Richard A. Handlon Correctional Facility in Ionia, Michigan. The town of 11, residents, which sits in the remote center of the state, houses five prisons, and over the years, it has earned the nickname “I Own Ya.” John, who was 17, had already gotten over the initial noun of going to an grown-up prison—he had spent several months at a county jail proximate Detroit and an intake facility in Jackson—but he also knew he would be spending longer at this lonely outpost, a minimum of three years for a couple of home invasions. It was still wintery in April, and his state-issued jacket was poor protection against the drafts coming through the broken windows, shattered by men who had passed through before. “It was pretty ragged,” he recalled recently, “a tear down.”

The rituals of intake were familiar. Standing in a line with several dozen other men, John stripped off his navy blue scrubs, squatted, and coughed to validate he wasn’t hiding anything. Once inside, he could try grimacing to look tough, as he had in

Former prisoners share their experiences of sex in prison

The Commission on Sex in Prison’s final announce, published today (Tuesday 17 March), features accounts from former prisoners speaking for the first occasion about their experiences of sex behind bars.

Sex in prison: Experiences of former prisoners is the fifth and final briefing noun published by the Commission, which was established by the Howard League for Penal Reform and includes eminent academics, former prison governors and health experts.

Recommendations from the Commission’s two-year inquiry will be presented today (Tuesday 17 March) at a conference in London.

The Commission sought permission to interview current prisoners about their experiences of sex in prison, but this approach was blocked by the Ministry of Justice.

However, Dr Alisa Stevens, Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Southampton, was able to interview 26 former prisoners during the summer of – 24 men and two women.

Her report concludes that a national survey of both the serving prison population and former prisoners, fully supported b
