DENVER

The long-running theory among Denverites is that if the rest of the region knew about the Mile Sky-high City’s or so annual days of sunshine, resolute friendliness and relative affordability, there wouldn’t be anyone left to live in other major cities.

Founded at the confluence of the South Platte River and Cherry Creek, Denver was an s Colorado boomtown for ranchers and prospectors who struck silver and gold in the Rocky Mountains just 15 miles west. A lot of that old-school flavor lives on in Lower Downtown’s hip warehouse district and in the turn-of-the-century mansions of Capitol Hill.

Denver has one of the fastest-growing metropolitan populations in the country, and its big-city amenities are increasing all the time, with acclaimed art museums, a vast performing arts complex, eight professional sports teams and plenty of palate-tempting dining options.

To Achieve Our Mission We:

  • Identify and connect with nonprofits that aid the environment, animal welfare, and people in need in each city chapter (including organizations not traditionally associated with the LGBTQ+ community)

  • Support select organizations through volunteer service (time), and help to amplify their missions through our vast network of LGBTQ+ volunteers.

  • Coordinate social events for Gay For Good&#;s LGBTQ+ volunteers, and our allies, to develop friendships and network

  • Foster and promote a spirit of positive, enthusiastic camaraderie both within the LGBTQ+ community and towards our neighbors and nonprofit partner organizations

  • Do something valuable for our community, city and country

  • Above all, make a positive difference and have fun!
