Hey Westies, introducing ACON Westie, a community for all LGBTQ+ people in Western Sydney – whether you grew up in the area or now call Western Sydney your home.
ACON Westie is ACONs fresh platform dedicated to all things LGBTQ+ in Western Sydney, showcasing feature stories, cultures, events, and support from the area. If you are an LGBTQ+ person from Fairfield, Bankstown, Penrith, Auburn, Campbelltown, Blacktown, Liverpool, Parramatta, or any suburbs in between, ACON Westie is place for you!

SUPPORT GROUPS
About our support groups
The Gender Centre organises and facilitates a range of groups for our community including:
- Transtopia support groups for gender questioning youth or youth in transition ()
- Partners Back Group for partners of trans and gender diverse people
- TGD Parents Support Group for parents of trans & gender diverse youth
- Over 40s Support group for transgender, gender diverse and gender questioning people
- Young Women’s Support Group for people who identify as transgender female or questioning aged between 25 and
- Non-binary Support for people who identify anywhere within the gender variant spectrum and are over 18
- FTM Connect for those who identify as transgender male or questioning and aged from 17 and above
These groups provide support and access to resources and community, from diverse gender specific groups including transgender questioning, neutral, non-binary dealing with specific issues or aspects of transition providing a safe supportive space to
Queerspace Youth
Queerspace Youth is a peer-led program for Queer, Trans, Intersex, Gender Diverse or questioning people aged years old.
We run twice-weekly aid groups and regular events including mental health and sexual health workshops, movie nights, art and music workshops as well as skill and capacity-building activities where you can hang out and make new friends and assemble community.
We also have mental health support workers at each event and can also assist you with referrals to Queer-identified counselling and support services run through Queerspace.
Queerspace Youth welcomes young people of all genders and sexualities. We encourage young people to come together and share knowledge about self-care, wellbeing and how to create and contribute to resilient and healthy communities.
